Ubermensch

by Nightlife (habenir@ucunix.san.uc.edu)

History

It is well known even today in 2055, that in the mid 20th century there was great interest in the occult. One of the most faithful in this belief was Adolph Hitler. During the fall of 1942, Hitler’s astrologers found a document from the last great era of magic. This document hinted a the patterns of magic in the realm of Earth and alluded to it’s cyclic nature. Within this arcanum the theory of mana spikes was defined. The astrologers immediately brought this new information to the attention of the Fuhrer. Hitler authorized experiment to begin on this new information. One such experiment in the attempt to create the ubermensch authorized to geneticist of the third Reich to create such a genetically perfect human.

This research blended astrology and science to create a ideal human according to the Aryan concept. Hitler believed that the Aryan race could be created if magic and the science of his expert geneticists were combined.

By altering embryo’s from 24 female test subjects the experiment began. These altered embryo’s were charged with the genetic knowledge of the third Reich and were exposed to magic from a mana spike that coincided with the Spring equinox.

Fortunately for the world 12 of the 24 test subjects either died from a growth from within or the child simply aborted. Later four more of the subjects would die also. The eight surviving subjects survived to give birth to the new Aryan race. Four of the new children were still born. These offspring were hideously deformed and only vaguely resembled a infant.

The other four children were born late fall of 1943. A ominous storm heralded the births of these four children. Two of the infants born were also stillborn and the third only survived a few hours after it’s birth. The fourth child came into the world at 1:00 AM.. on the eve of Halloween. It was a ever changing nightmare. The creature could not hold any recognizable form for more the a few moments. Before the scientist realized what was happening the creature slew it’s mother, the attending physician , three orderlies and nurses, and the all the guards in the room.

The creature was eventually brought under control and the bodies of the deceased were examined. it was found that their entire nervous system was drained of all their neural chemicals.

Dr. Victor Nichtenstein, head of the project reported the results of the experiment to the Fuhrer. Fearing punishment for the failure of the experiment, the doctor was surprised when after reading the files on the experiment Hitler ordered another experiment to create a legion of these creatures.

In 1945 the Allies invaded Germany and found the Dr.’s laboratory in the fall of 1945. All the files of the experiment were confiscated and the evidence of the project destroyed. No traces of the children were ever found in Baveria. Dr. Nichtenstein is believed to have died in somewhere in South America in 1981. No information of the experiment has ever bee released.

Identification

Each Ubermensch appear different. None can hold it’s normal shape for more than a few moment at any given time. Their self awareness is questionable at best in this form. The lack of any permanent form precludes the formation of any usable sensory organs. The normal appearance of these creature is a mass of ever changing flesh of many hues and textures. Limbs constantly form and instantly begin to deteriorate into different forms. Body orifices form then disappear. When one of these creatures it takes on the form and basic appearance of it’s victim. This is the only time when the creature is aware of the outside world. The creatures absorbs memories with the most recent first until the victim is completely drained of essence.
