The Renraku Verati building was destroyed last night in an accident possibly involving the so called ‘runners’ Cash boy and his reputed girlfriend Rachel Costelo. The explosion was seen even before the building started to fall. The building most famed for being the first of many to break the cloud line is said to have been worth NuY:42,800,950,126 the loss has been absorbed by the mega-corp and business is as usual, but corporate revenge is expected, so if you know where Cash Boy or his girl friend are there could be some sort of reward payable.
But the U.C.A.S government wasn’t quite as indifferent:
Many other buildings have been damaged and the U.C.A.S. government is having to hand out an estimated 400,000,000 to unhappy building owners in compensation. It was these corps that demanded extraterentiality in the first place so Shadowrunners should be there responsibility not ours.

Yet another branch of Ares has come into existance, how many more things can they do? they are already the only corp to make everything form cyberarms to toilet roll!
But wait, this could be a good thing because they have expanded there matrix resources to 80,000 MPs this is still not comparable to Fuchi’s 6,473,291 MP network but hey, who cares about a little bit of graphic resolution. This new area contains a new psuedo-amusement park called Zyclone publicised as only for real thrill seekers, DarkCity 2020 is also publicised as the most exiting game in the business. But aren’t they all?
Also and most interesting the Cyber Creation Dome (CCD). In this monolithic dome you can buy a bit of cyberspace on The Grid and with the help of Cybernaut, Ares’s Super-computer you can create and mould it into anything you can imagine. Its rumoured to cost about NuY:1500 for about 80 MPs which to us seems reasonable. This may seem just like any other cyberspaceconstructor(CsC) but they say its a CsC with a difference, but unfortunately we don’t know what that difference is. Check it out at Na/ucas-sea-3354.

Yaks Threaten UCAS In Bid For International Control
The Yakuza have repeated their threat that if a certain former Japanese, now registered UCAS citizen is not handed over to them within the next 4 weeks then it will *recommend* that the Japanese government introduce official sanctions. This could mean a grave blow for the UCAS as the pressure being applied by the NAN and other governments for the UCAS to sell out has been wreaking havoc with the current economy. But still the good old ‘Stars and Stripes’ remains adamant refusing to turn over this citizen claiming it as an infringement of personal rights. We say give them the bugger, were over crowded already!
We feel that this citizen has come to us for sanctuary and we mean to give him it. We understand the threat the Zakuza have made and we have considered it and have came to the decision that we can be fully operative without support from the so called Japanese Government and we will hand over no prisoners today.

Four Killed In Mystery Virus Attack-Connection To Attempted Suicide Of Chiba Playgirl Kylie Gates
In an FBI investigation conducted by star investigator Simon Jurez has revealed that the death of four in a matrix accident is linked to the death of pornographic model Kylie Gates who is best known for her work in “You only ride once” and “For you lips only” and also for her short romance with corporate boss Jitaro Mitzuini (Who’d have guessed). The four who were killed remain as of yet unnamed, one of them found lying beside his own decapitated head (Virus? We don’t think so). By linking traces of foreign DNA and RNA sequences with the program’s signature coding they have traced it back to an unknown AI based somewhere in the Detroit-BAWA Metroplex. Isn’t that where Jitaro corp was originally based?

Yakuza Take UCAS Retaliation As *Act Of War*
In a decisive strike at 2am this morning the UCAS EFA Variants and Nightwing bombers retaliated in drastic proportions to the extraction attempt made by the Japanese government (Probably under orders from the Yakuza) of the UCAS citizen Yasinaro Kato. The Japanese planes were shot down by an unnamed biker gang before they even reached their target. The intrusion by the Japs in UCAS airspace was reported and a LoneStar fighter squadron was sent to issue a *warning* to our Japanese friends. An hour or so later the Japanese Ambassador went into a fit at the UCAS’s apparent atrocious breach of a 3 year standing peace treaty.
The Yakuza are pushing the UCAS to the limits now, first they issue demands that they must have known we would not even think about complying to and then they call our simple return of fire an act of war!. We do not intend to initiate any more military procedures but if the Japanese government does so we will retaliate once more.

Saeder Krupp New ‘Smart’ Weapons Range Launch Cancelled
The official launch of Saeder Krupps new weapon range has been cancelled because the presentation was to be centred around the unveiling of the new weapons which unfortunately for Saeder have been unofficially unveiled to those of us involved in darker side of commerce. Renraku’s involvement in the *leak* has been mentioned and their responsibility for other such incidents will be questioned. A certain former Renraku agent (Whom we all know and love ie. Yesac Sehguh, for those in the know. Hmmmmm wasnt she involved with another certain corp boss by the name of Jitaro Mitzuini?).

Explosive Free For All Engulfs UCAS Economy
A sudden drop in UCAS share prices has dropped prices to an all time low. With MP lasers selling at a mere NuY:9000 and luxury appartements renting at even less we can all afford to live like playboy Jitaro Mitzuini and playgirl Tally Isham for a while. Will it last?
Sadly the answer is no because the drop in share prices was nothing than a cheap ploy by the Yakuza to force the UCAS into selling out to Ares, yes ….. the Yakuza and Ares. It gets stranger because the junk bonds the UCAS has been insuing actually caused prices to fall when suddenly they had no money.
Mall Destroyed In Kal’s Shopping Spree
The aptly named Renraku 4 Acres Mall (Utopia) was devastated when a series of fights erupted from within.
At roughly 4am a group of anti nuclear protesters clashed with Lone Star Security troops (for no particular reason) and the mall was cleared, then as if on cue the normal complement of insane ‘CyberCops’ (Originally there to aid LoneStarSecurity) started to throw each other through windows and generally make a mess. Then some mystery shopper decided to walk straight into this mall/urban battle-ground to pick up somthing for his breakfast. The police opened fire, there was a dramatic flash of light and a KAL fully autonomous defense unit armed with twin multi-frequency pulse lasers turned up wanting to return unwanted X-Mass presents. But he had forgot the all important hard copy receipt and LS opened fire, again.
The KAL then opened fire on the mystery breakfast shopper and devastated first LS troops then the mall. Then the KAL left, the ‘CyberCops’ were gone and the breakfast shopper decided to try the Minimart down the street.
And 24 hour shopping is meant to make our lives easier?
