The Technomancer’s Inn

I’m pretty sure you all have heard of so-called “virtual bars” -decker hangouts in cyberspace. The perhaps most known place is called “The Technomancer’s Inn” and is located at LTG# NA-UCAS-NCE-2376 (19-4518) in the New York matrix. It’s really worth visiting -you’ll meet all kinds of weird people there.
Imagine characters from a video game going out for a drink -it’ll give you a good picture of what it looks like.

The Construct
From the outside, the whole thing looks pretty anonumous. The system construct of the bar appears as a plain silver cube, unrecognizable from the rest of the Matrix. Once inside, however, you’ll experience one of the better sculpted systems in the ‘Trix.
The Place
The Inn looks different almost every time -the sysop’s got a knack for designing sculpted systems, and loves even more showing them to his visitors. It may appear as an old middle-age tavern, a seedy bar from Chicago 1930, a nova-hot nightclub, the Mos Eisley spacebar, or whatever.
Once, the Inn appeared as the old Cavern Club in Liverpool -complete with live performance by the Beatles.
Netrunner
The bartender/sysop, Bandido Cybernetico, serves a wide variety of “virtual drinks”, computer programs that mimic the effects of alcohol. You’ll actually feel dizzy after a few of his specials. The effects are gone once you unload the program from your memory, though.
And the nice bartender might, just MIGHT, infect your drink with a dataworm. I’ll rather stay sober, thank you.
Paranoid
The bar’s also got a number of back rooms that may be rented for meetings with your Johnson, your fixer, your cat, or anyone else.
I don’t even want to think about the possibilities for spying on someone using those back rooms… the matrix isn’t that secure, as we all know.
Still paranoid
Don’t worry, this place is safe… generally.

The Security
The patrons of the inn provides “collective security” to one another -nobody starts fragging or the others frag him.
Not to mention the hot IC kept by the sysop…see below.
Cyberjoe
The system itself is quite secure, red-6 and up. Security is provided by a pair of black humanoid bouncers. I don’t know what they are, but I guess they’re tough enough to handle most problems that’ll occur.
