Physical Description

Homo Sapiens Robustus; an Ork. Caucasian. 182 cm in height. 82 kg mass. Brown hair, beard and mustache, worn shaggy. Brown eyes. Smallish in build, relative to Robustus norms, but very solid and muscular by Sapiens standards. Gold hoop usually worn in right ear. Left tusk is jaggedly chipped. UCAS Marines Special Forces tattoo on left upper arm; often concealed. Rated “First Expert” with most handguns and common military longarms. Experienced with explosives, both commercial and military grades. Military training in hand combat, also. Magically inactive.

* Saw him take down five knife-armed street punks. Never even broke a sweat.
* Free Skater

* What do you mean, “saw him,” Skater? You were one of those “five knife-armed street punks.” Come to think of it, I doubt you saw much but an Ork-sized fist.
* Zapper Weisman

Implants

Smartlink. Wired Reflexes, Level I. Tactical Computer and Orientation System, Level II.

* The TacComp and OS are holdovers from Skelton’s military days. The models he had back then were even more sophisticated. TOP SECRET sophisticated.
* Findler-Man

Psychological Profile

Contrary to expectations based upon Skelton’s service record and current occupation, he is amazingly friendly, and remarkably intelligent. Skelton dealt with UGE (at age 8, in 2027) extremely well, with the support of a loving family and in tolerant surroundings (rural Kentucky, UCAS). As a means of escaping his family’s poverty, and in consideration of amazingly high aptitude scores, Skelton joined the UCAS Army, and was assigned to intelligence. He performed well, achieving the rank of Lieutenant before mustering out in 2047. His military experience provided Skelton with the discipline to both issue and execute orders, questioning or accepting question only in unusual situations; he also learned the value of personal initiative. His past made him an excellent candidate for law enforcement, and he signed with Lone Star, Chicago, in 2048. In late 2049, he was transferred to Seattle. He has advanced rapidly through the ranks, having just received his gold detective’s shield. He is incorruptible through normal channels, often referred to by his co-workers (not always positively) as a “Serpico”), but has a Human wife and two daughters through which pressure might be applied.

* One of the best cops Lone Star has. In every sense. And a personal friend.
* SPD

* Hell of a chess player, too. And I’d kill for that antique Mazda Miata. Candy apple red. To die for.
* The Black Queen

Business Activities

Skelton usually works undercover in Vice operations. His partner, Sheila Powers, is a Hermetic mage, and often provides magical cover and support while Skelton handles the physical aspect of any given operation. Both were recently promoted to Detective. Both are also occasionally active in Homicide or anti-gang investigations.

* Interestingly enough, Skelton has a fairly cordial relationship with the Ancients. They respect his honesty and integrity, and he seems to respect the fact that the Ancients are not an inflammatory gang. Well, not usually.
* The Dodger

Business Methods

Both Skelton and Powers are scrupulously honest in pursuit of their duties, and do not engage in casual sadism or other infringements of their suspects’ civil rights. Skelton especially, however, is especially intense in BTL investigations, and prone to bend the occasional regulation to apprehend a suspect and make the charges stick. (Skelton’s attitude is understandable, considering that he has two daughters, both of whom are probably subject to the BTL trade every day.) Skelton is often unrecognizable in his undercover roles. His disguise training in the UCAS military is invaluable in such situations.

Resources

Moderate. As relatively high-ranking Lone Star officers, Skelton and Powers have substantial latitude in their use of the law enforcement corporation’s impressive resources. Personal resources can be considered low; however, the traditional “revenge motive” of police officers toward those who slay their colleagues should always be considered when planning operations against such targets.
