Okay, kids, it’s time for an lesson in economics. Any guesses at the going street rate for theses cyber- and bio- implants? Some of this stuff hasn’t even hit the streets yet.
Nuyen Nick
I’d say at least a cool million yen.
Bitmap
Good try, kid. Try around 5 million. And that’s if you could find it on the street.

Psychological Profile
Yapidonin-sama holds the same attitudes, in general, as most of his colleagues in the Sons of the Neon Chrysanthemum. Namely, he considers counsel and discussion far superior to violence as negotiation tools. He is courteous always, but especially so to those who return his courtesy. However, beneath the velvet glove lies the fist of steel: if faced with no other alternative, Yapidonin-sama will act swiftly, decisively, and finally. Yapidonin-sama is capable of very real affection. His two daughters command his affections, as do his most trusted soldiers. His respect is not easily earned, however, depending as it does upon reserves of character, rather than upon any displays of martial prowess.
If you do manage to gain Yapidonin-sama’s respect, it is extremely valuable, and to be treasured.
Shinobi
I heard a story about Yapidonin’s daughters a while back…evidently, one of the local Seoulpa Rings decided it would be a real bright idea to kidnap the youngest and hold her in exchange for concessions from the Whispering Nights. The next morning, the girl turned up at a local Lone Star precinct and was returned to her father. No member–not one–of that Ring was ever seen again. Not alive, not dead.

On a lighter note: Jiro-sama collects comic books from last century, especially manga. No, I’m not kidding.

Business Activities
As one of three Kobuns of the Whispering Nights clan, Yapidonin-sama’s duties encompass administrative, planning, and disciplinary tasks. He also occasionally takes part in training of Whispering Nights soldiers. He is considered the “Favorite Son” to ascend to Oyabun upon the death of Mirabuchi Geikken, the clan’s current Oyabun.
This is true, but the Oyabun has many more years left in him. His spirit is powerful, even though his body begins to fail.

Business Methods
See “Psychological Profile,” above. In general, Yapidonin-sama prefers face-to-face contacts. He is remarkably accessible, and even more remarkably well-guarded.
And if you’ve never met Jiro-sama, or know what he looks like, don’t assume that the gentleman you do meet is him. You might be surprised, chummers.
Lady Carolina
I would still counsel great politeness and respect. regardless of the true identity of the “gentleman” that you meet, you may be sure that Yapidonin-sama is watching the exchange with great interest.

Resources
Moderate to high. With the resources of the Whispering Nights at his virtual command, Yapidonin-sama is very formidable. When operating in concert with or with the backing of Seattle’s other Yakuza clans, those resources become virtually limitless, comparable to those of a zaibatsu. With the respect and devotion Yapidonin-sama is capable of generating, he is often called upon to coordinate actions by multiple clans. In addition, Yapidonin-sama has made it a practice to cultivate contacts in Seattle’s streets. He is able to call in many markers at any given time, independent of his status as Kobun.
The loyalty Yapidonin inspires is not a product of fear, or even solely of respect. His inferiors revere him.
