The Graveyard

Welcome to The Graveyard. The previous undertaker has deeded control over to me. Who am I, you ask? My name is David West, but I go by the name of Lightfinger on IRC. Yes, this should look familiar to you, as I wrote the last couple of articles which made it into the Graveyard.

The Graveyard will still be dedicated to rules, plots, tips and tricks, and the like. I will change a few directions, though. I plan to focus on neglected parts of the Shadowrun Universe. Specifically, those things which have been mentioned in products in passing, yet could form great plotlines for campaigns, or undercurrents in current scenarios. Basically, those things which have seemed to have been shipped off to the Graveyard. Fitting, hm?

I have been gaming for way, way too long. I started with the brown booklet Chainmail back in 1978. Yes, this is my 21st year of roleplaying. My name may be familiar to some of you who also play Champions, as I co-wrote Dark Champions: Murderer's Row and a section of Hero System Almanac 2. In between, I've pretty much played everything on the market at least once, at least until recently, and most systems, I gamemaster.

I plan to write one article a week, that will add information that may be of assistance to a gamemaster running Shadowrun. This may be background material, or like I said, material that was glossed over but never really focussed upon by FASA products. You may see some reviews here as well. It all depends on my whims at the time, honestly. By the way, I take topic suggestions too.

This week:
Argh! Or How NOT to Promise the World
Plot of the Week:
Star Wars: Episode XXVII - The Shadowrunning Menace

The Graveyard has the 'Plot of the Week' section. Well, it hasn't been updated in a while. I'm going to try hard to work on this as well, but this might quickly get changed to Plot of the Month, depending on my time schedule.

Unfortunately, I am not a player of Deckers. I don't very much like the current Decking rules, either, honestly. Thus, if any updates happen to The Matrix Guide for Dummies, it will be by Todd "Digger" Robbins. Being that the last one of these was written over a year ago, please don't expect any update in the near, or far, future.
