The Skinny: Born on St. Patrick’s day in 1993, John saw America at its peak and watched the awakening from the tortured confines of his Massachusetts home. John never left his hometown until he was 27 years old. Once he finally worked up the courage to strive out into the new world, he immediately sought out institutes of higher learning.

John finished his 3rd Doctorate degree, a degree in computer science at the age of thirty-five. After that he retired to a small junkyard outside of Seattle where he has since spent his time rebuilding cars. His favorite is the one he drives—an ancient Dodge Charger.

John is a mechanical genius. He can fix cars, guns, electronic devices, anything. He prefers working on cars and even then multifuel rigs. Hutch dislikes working with electric rigs. He charges more to work on them.

John prefers to be called Hutch by his friends. His name is no secret matter. Most people who know him know his real name but call him Hutch anyway. He’s a nice guy once runners get to know him. Until then, he behaves very standoffish.

Desc: Old man with eyes caked in black makeup. He has pale skin, which in conjunction with the makeup gives him a raccoon-like appearance. He has very little hair left but what hair he does have is bright red. His freckles have faded to brown dots and his teeth have all but rotted out of his mouth.
