The Skinny: Balio grew up in Boslo. He was raised by his two oldest sisters, both of which continue to live outside of the UCAS surviving on money that he sends them. Henry learned what little he knows about being a man from watching flat vids of Tom Cruise. He has seen every Tom Cruise movie and owns flat vid copies of every one with the exception of Risky Business (nobody seems to know where to find it.)

Balio is a stockbroker/investment counselor for the Telluride Group, a small consulting firm that appears to be in the service of the Saeder-Krupp mega-corporation. Balio moved to the UCAS when he was eighteen years old. He learned about the stocks first through old flat vids and then by doing research in the matrix. His goal is to achieve something on the magnitude of the microsecond buyout. While that goal is haughty and far from his grasp, he has in his short career made several shadowrunners a lot richer.

Shadowrunners are Balio’s angle. The shadows have a pool of dirty money in desperate need of cleaning and the guy who does it could cut himself a sizable profit. Because of that, Balio is incredibly friendly towards runners and other shadowy operators. They are after all, his business.

Meeting Henry Balio: Henry spends a great deal of time in area bars looking for shadowrunners and women (though not necessarily in that order). Those who he feels are runner types he will ask the bartender about. If they are known well enough then Balio will approach them and buy them drinks. He will attempt to schmooze them into setting an appointment with him so he can invest their earnings.

The second way to meet Balio is to set an appointment with him through his firm, The Telluride Group. His consultation fee is 75 nuyen an hour but the fee is generally waived if he is meeting with a client he is interested in doing business with (a shadowrunner).

Description: Henry stands at 5 feet 8 inches. He is muscular and has brown skin. His eyes are gray and his face is pitted from years of acne. He dresses in business suits during the work day and generally sticks to sports related attire and black tee-shirts when off duty. When at a classy bar, he will be dressed in Giovani suits with Hillfiger shoes. Not the top names, but stylish (and cheap) nonetheless.
