Serious Mojo
Hi.
I go by the handle of Q, which has surprisingly little to do with the Star Trek entity of the same name and a lot to do with it being the first letter of my real name…<sigh> I’m already digressing.

Let’s see. What you need to know about me is that I’ve been gamemastering since I was ten and I’m twenty-two now so that makes twelve years I’ve been doing this and I actually still like it a lot (Go figure, huh?) I became a shadowrun convert a few years ago and haven’t looked back since (mostly for fear of turning into salt, but that’s another story and yet another digression).
This column provides me with a place to pour out of my head and into the markdown pages you’ll be reading (you will be reading, won’t you?) all of the techniques that I’ve picked up and utilized successfully as a gamemaster. A lot of my issues will be non-shadowrun specific, so feel free to lift anything useful for your other games. My hope is to help inexperienced gamemasters by providing solid techniques for running their campaigns and scenarios, and to give experienced gamemasters a view at another style of gaming to help foster the development of their own ideas and techniques.
I claim to be “right” only for myself.
Having said that, enjoy.
